DeskProto box Our anniversary bargain offer will expire at Sept 30
The Hobby license bargain offer that was launched in our previous newsletter so far has been a great success !
Many hobbyist users already have bought this low-priced license and now enjoy the full power of DeskProto: 3D, 2D and bitmap combined.
Note that this bargain offer will expire on Sept 30, 2010: from Oct 1st hobbyist users again will have to pay the full price.

Forum screenshot Many fresh threads on the DeskProto forum
As the hobby license does not include free email support, hobbyist users are using the forum. This has resulted in much more forum activity than in the first half of this year. Take advantage by reading the forum, and join in to support the DeskProto community !

JWX-30 fixture Beta testers wanted for JWX-30 waxring wizard
Many fixtures are available for wax ring milling, offering a two-sided flip plus rotary pass. One of these comes with the Roland JWX-30 machine. As the CAM software that comes with the machine is rather slow, many JWX-30 users are looking for a faster alternative. This is where DeskProto comes in: we have made a wizard to easily create NC files for this fixture, also offering access to all advanced DeskProto features.
Email us if you have a JWX-30 and want to test the new wizard >>

Gallery picture Collection of Seal rings, created using DeskProto
The latest project on the DeskProto Gallery is a collection of seal rings, created by Dutch goldsmith Gijs Borms. The rings have been designed in Rhino, the wax-models for casting have been created using DeskProto. Four models, each in a number of sizes, with a stone selected by the client. The stone can be engraved with a custom design.
